This post-doc will work on the lab research for the project of “polymer enhanced foam”. The main working place is at the joint laboratory Physico-chemistry of Complex Interfaces between the SIMM laboratory at ESPCI and TOTAL, in Lacq.

This work focuses on the consequences of interactions between surfactants and polymers at the water/gas interface, and it consequences on foam stability. The influence of several physical parameters will be investigated, such as (1) the electrostatic charge of the surfactant and polymer, (2) polymer molecular weight, (3) hydrophobic interaction, etc. The surfactant/ polymer foams will be tested for foam enhanced oil recovery. The work is mostly experimental, and results will be either published or patented.

All the experiments will be performed in Lacq (France, Atlantic Pyrenees, 15km from Pau)
