PhD position focused on vitrimers within the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Doctoral Network ReBond

7th November 2023 - 1st March 2024

Dear Colleagues,

Please find information, through the link below, about an exciting PhD position within the new Horizon Europe – Marie Sklodowska-Curie – Doctoral Network: “ReBond: A Universal platform for recycling plastic waste using dynamic covalent bonds”. The PhD studentship is focused on resolving how the kinetics of vitrimer bond exchange influences the properties of polymer-vitrimer systems; the influence of composition, structure, mechanical deformation and flow on the local dynamics of vitrimers will be investigated. Experimental techniques include broadband dielectric spectroscopy, as well as multispeckle light scattering and SAXS/WAXS, with a particular focus on combining these techniques with mechanical deformation. The research will be conducted in the Dept. of Physics at the University of Ioannina (Ioannina, Greece) with Prof. George Floudas and at the CNRS, Laboratoire Charles Coulomb (Montpellier, France) with Prof. Laurence Ramos, with a four month secondment to the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Leeds (Leeds, U.K.) with myself.

Please forward to anyone who might be interested.

Thanks a lot!
