SUMMARY:DNA-based Liquid Crystal Elastomers – Towards an artificial cytosceleton
DESCRIPTION:At IBI-4 of Forschungszentrum Juelich\, we are offering a PhD Position for a project focusing on the fabricate and characterisation of novel microscale liquid crystal elastomers (micro-LCEs) based on charged microgels with tailored polymer network architectures. The work will involve the production of micro-LCE particles using microfluidic techniques\, followed by their structural and responsive characterization using microscopy and scattering techniques.
